WCA Owner/Tenant Contact Update Form

Maintaining current contact information helps the board and its committees reach owners and tenants with important board announcements as well as during emergency events such as a water/gas main break or to report storm damage to vehicles or other property.  Each owner and paying tenant should complete a separate form.  Non-resident owners should enter their address at the end of the form.  Note: You do NOT need to have a Google account in order to update and submit the form.

Hunter Mill District News, June 22, 2020

June 22, 2020

To My Hunter Mill District Neighbors:

Fairfax Public Department officials caution us that the COVID-19 virus is still very much affecting our communities. And understandably, interest in the COVID-19 case data remains high. So we are improving the way we present data also shown in the chart below. We heard you and with assistance from our talented summer intern Matthew, we will be providing the following graphs:
  • 7-Day Test Positivity Rate
  • Day to Day Change in Tests Reported
  • Today’s Cases Reported
  • % COVID-19 Hospitalized to Total Bed Capacity
  • Total Beds Occupied to Total Bed Capacity

Click on the graphic above to get to the graphs. And we welcome your feedback at huntermill@fairfaxcounty.gov. Beginning Wednesday, the link will appear in the regular Today's Updates presentation of COVID-19 case data.

Please continue to follow public health guidelines to keep yourself and your family health, and so that we can make our way out of this pandemic.

A reminder that the Board of Supervisors is meeting virtually tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 at 2 p.m. Of note is my joint Board Matter with Supervisor Dalia Palchik; we will be asking for a full inventory of confederate-named public places in the county and initiating a process to deconstruct confederate iconography institutionalized during the Jim Crow era. The Board Matter can be found in tomorrow's Board Package. Click on Matters Presented by Board Members and look for Attachment 10. Watch the live stream of the meeting here

Respectfully,
Walter

Reston Hospital's New Hotline for Insurance Info
Reston Hospital (HCA Virginia) is working to assist those who find themselves without health insurance coverage for their families. The company has established a free hotline to assist those who have lost health insurance coverage to secure temporary coverage while they are unemployed.

Call the hotline at 833-867-8771, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Hotline advisors can discuss eligibility and advocacy services appropriate for a variety of scenarios, such as:
  • Continuing an employer's existing plan for those who have recently lost a job (COBRA and other options)
  • Applying for coverage via a spouse's benefit program
  • Resources that may help offset the costs of health insurance
  • Medicaid for those that meet certain criteria
  • State and federal health insurance exchanges (such as the Affordable Care Act), and how to enroll due to a life changing event like job loss

These services are offered free of charge. HCA Virginia is not representing any other company or selling insurance plans.
